About Terri
Terri Grosso has extensive music teaching experience in public schools, private performing arts schools and in her own private lesson studio as a teacher of voice, piano and acting. She was also an adjunct professor of voice and piano at St. Johns University. Her background also includes over twenty years of professional performance experience in all aspects of the music field ranging from opera and musical theatre to pop singing. In particular, Terri has performed various operas with the Canadian opera company and with the SSMA orchestra in Sienna, Italy.
Terri has spent much of her career developing the voices and musicianship of her private students. Her students are actively involved with their school musicals, and a number of them have also performed on Broadway and in other professional venues. She has been the primary coach for her two children who are both performers. Her son, Lewis Grosso, was a Broadway performer whose credits include Gavroche in Les Mis, Michael Banks in Mary Poppins, Les Jacobs in Newsies, and more.
In 2020, Terri received her certification as a Professional Life Coach and additional certifications in Crisis Recovery Coaching, Confidence and Emotional Intelligence Coaching, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Career Coaching. Terri offers both private and group coaching sessions that are truly transforming lives. Terri's life coaching experience sets her apart from other mentors as she can help her clients develop life skills to navigate challenges and to plan for their successful futures, while creating a safe and nurturing environment. Terri's degrees include a BS in Music Education K-12 from Hofstra University and an MA in Music Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music.
